The video did not go indepth concerning formulas for Power, Mass, Voltage, etc. Does anyone think that there will be formulas on the certification test?

I talked with a Biomed in our department and he said that they give you a sheet with formulas on it.

Really? I guess that takes a lot of pressure off of you. Have you tried the practice test yet?

If 17% of the questions on the test are from Electronics, about how many questions is that. Are there more than a hundred questions on the CBET?
Fundamentals of Electricity,
Electronics, and Solid-State
Devices (Approx 17%)
A. Transducers
B. Calculations and Conversions
1. Hex/Decimal/Binary
2. Other
C. Devices
1. Passive
2. Active
3. Digital
D. Circuits

I have taken the test in segments. In our shop, we have a thing where every Wed. we take a certain section of the test. (ex. electronics, safety, anatomy, etc.) We are doing this until I take the exam in May. There are 150 questions total on the test. I think you have like 4 hours to complete it.

PostSubject: Electronics formulas   Fri Oct 30, 2009 4:19 pm

Hello,

Man am I excited to have found this forum. The way I understand it is they give you a page of formulas but they expect you to know the formula.

For example Xc = 1/(2pieFC) This is the formula for capacitive reactance.

On the formula sheet you will only see 1/(2pieFC) and it is expected that you know this is the formular for capacitive reactance. I have a small word document that has some of the basic electronics formulas that are a MUST know. I also have a practice electronics test.

If anyone would like me to send them these documents just send me an email amendez@abmequipment.com

The Electronics Review modules don't have study guides. However, since we just launched this forum on the 16th of October, we have accumulated a few study guides and videos in the Archived Data. But you have to be a Premium Member to access that forum.
